Laboratory

Our in-house laboratory has the capability to run many different tests. We can run complete blood counts, blood chemistries, electrolytes, blood gases, and fecal egg counts. By having this equipment, we are able to have results in minutes. By being able to procure these results quickly, the proper care protocol can be established in a more timely manner. As previously mentioned, we have an in-house IRAP centrifuge to process serum for the IRAP procedure. We also have the capability to outsource non-routine tests to established diagnostic laboratories.

Global VetLink is the end source provider for our Coggins test, health certificates and go-passes. This allows photographs of your horse to be on your documentation. An added convenience is that allows the owner or authorized agent access via the internet to print off these documents once they are completed. For health certificate requirements, please check with the state in which you will be entering for their specific requirements. Each state is different, so give yourself adequate time to get proper documentation.

At the present time “Go-Passes’ are only good in 14 states within the Southeastern region.
