Digital Ultrasonography

Ultrasound exams are an extremely beneficial tool in diagnosing many different problems. Pleuritis, thoracic neoplasia, chronic weight loss, colic, liver, kidneys, spleen, lung and other tissues, as well as joint, tendon and ligament injuries.

Digital ultrasonography is also used in determining when a mare’s ovulation is about to occur/the current stage of her reproductive cycle, enabling your veterinarian to obtain a more accurate time period for artificial insemination (cooled or frozen semen) or live cover breeding. It also aids in earlier pregnancy verification and detecting the presence of high risk multiple fetuses.
